A WICKED WEEKEND

So I just got back from California yesterday and we had such a blast. We got to Burbank and went to Tiffany's (Sister that lives in Cali) home. She was there with James Richard because the girls were at school. We went swimming at her house in the 80 degree weather. It felt great to be in the sun. Most of us got sunburned but is was almost worth it. We then waited for the girls to come home and it was so good to see them. We left for our hotel and anybody that knows me knows that I must have left something at Tiffany's. However, I actually lost two items: my makeup bag and my Brighton bracelet from Tim.  

We got to the hotel and unpacked. We were all starving so we went to dinner in Pasadena at a small Mexican joint. It was for real Mexican food, not that tex mex stuff. SO GOOD! We got back to the hotel pretty late and stayed up playing cards and talking til Tiffany talked us all to sleep. The next day we went to Wicked the Broadway musical. We got the theatre and there were about 4 rows in front us us that were empty. We figured that a bus had not shown up yet. Soon after about 60 high school age kids walked in. They were all dress so modestly and cute. We figured it was maybe a church group. That was until I swore I heard rachelle's voice (best friend Krista's younger sister) I looked in front of me and one row ahead and two chairs over she sat. I was so shocked. It was Olympus High's concert choir. It was so fun to see her there. Wicked was amazing. I absolutely loved it. I can not believe that some people can sing like that. I had chills everywhere.

After the play we went to a outdoor mall nearby and that was so much fun. We went to eat at this amazing BBQ place. We also went to the American Girl Doll store. There were two ladies in there that asked the store worker "Where is the American Girl Dike." We all had a good laugh. We then went to the Cheesecake Factory and got some cheesecake. On the way home Tiffany accidently took the wrong way and it took probably an hour and a half to get back to the hotel. Its ok though Tiffany I am not mad, I swear. It gave everyone some time to eat there cheesecake and some bonding time. Sunday we just shopped and ate and came home. What a fun fun fun trip. Thanks Nanc for the trip. You are so sweet, and thanks to my fun sisters. I love you all. Thanks for including your stinky little brothers wife on your fun, lucky, neat, silly trip! Shout out to you Bets!

Weird Story!!

Ok so I have a funny story to tell: today at work while I was looking at all the blogs I normally check out I thought "I wonder if my old EFY counselor has a blog." Mind you, when I went to EFY and she was my counselor I was about 13. I have no Idea why I thought of her today but she just popped into my mind. So I went to google and typed in her name and it totally brought up a web site that she has. I was totally shocked because I did not really think anything would come up (how many of us can type our names into google and have something come up that really has to do with us). So I wrote her an email because it had her email on the web site. She really touched my life when I was so young. I was struggling to figure out who I was and she was such an awesome example. To this day I still look back and want to be like her. Get this, I got home from EFY and sent her a CTR bracelet. I thought I was so cool. Anyways I will let you know if anything comes from me emailing her. I just thought it was way funny!

I'M GOING TO HOLLYWOOD

Ok no I am not going to be on American Idol.... I wish though. I am going with my Mother-in-law and all my sister-in-laws to california to see Wicked (the broadway play) on Friday, and I can't tell you how stoked I am. I am just excited to not have to go to work, do laundry, do homework, and cook any meals. It will be so nice.
We had an easter egg hunt with all the nieces and nephews yesterday. It was a blast. They are so cute. I have to say that being with them makes me totally baby hungry.... but not yet. Then we went to the baseball diamonds with tims brother and fam. It was super fun.
Tim and I just found out that the evans (people that own our house) are going to sell it in June. So we have to find a place to live. I am so sad that we have to leave this house. It is so nice to live in a full house. I will also miss our ward (we definetly can not afford to buy a house in the area, there is one for sale that is probably 2000 sq ft for 750,000.00. insane huh!) Tim and I are looking into getting a condo, maybe. The search is on!
Other than that I really have nothing exciting to blog about.... Oh update on the friends we gave the flowers to. So I called them the next week but they had their brother coming to visit so they could not hang out that week. She just called me today though to see if we could go to a movie on Friday but like I said before, I will be in California. I have decided that making friends is hard! I guess that I have not made new friends for a long time. For some reason I get so nervous... Like I am scared to call them... but if any of you know me that is sooo not like me. I think It is just cause we dont know them that well and I don't know if they will like us. They are super nice though so I don't know what I am thinking. So I invited them to go to a Real Salt Lake Soccer game tonight but they have not gotten back to us yet. It is so weird but I am so scarred. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!

Hello

Hello everyone who may read this blog at some point in time. This is Tim checking in here. March Madness is under way and I am doing okay with my brackets. Lacrosse is going okay, we have a young team who are doing well. We are 2-3 but should be 5-0. Oh well, thats how the game goes. I am excited for RSL to start next week!! All is well. See ya later. 

Finally, time to post

Ok so I got told yesterday that I needed to update, so here goes. A lot has happened since we last blogged even though it has only been like a week. We got a new computer last week which was very needed (and wanted). We have been using our in-laws computer for the last 9 months. That is hard though for two students. Especially when I used to work til nine, cause I would be over til all hours of the night. The computer is a 20 in mac (apple) and I love it. However with Tims current school situation and it taking priority over me blogging and searching Itunes, I have only used it a few times.
I taught R.S last sunday. Believe it or not, I actually like to teach. It was so fun and the ladies really responded to the lesson. That is hard to do because normally nobody talks is our R.S. I taught on the example that Christ sets in kindness. It was a really fun topic. I asked a few of the ladies in the ward to give me an example when sombody was a good samaritan to them. I really learned a lot from everyone and it was good to hear them all talk. Then in Sacrament Meeting the R.S presidency was released (except for me, assistant secretary). Nancy(mother-in-law) was called as the R.S president, Shauna Olsen 1st counselor, Jane Gottshall 2nd counselor, and Carol Theurer Secretary. It will be awesome. I will definetly miss the old presidency but it is fun to get some new blood in R.S.

On Saturday I got really crafty and following in the footsteps of Melissa, I went to the DI. I know what your thinking "what crafty things are you going to find at the DI" but it was actually super fun. I found these way cute glass pasta containers that were square and about a foot high. I then got the cutest fake tulips and fake grass and made the cutes flower arrangements. Well, atleast I think so. I actually made three of them but one was a larger container. I gave one to Krista, because they are moving and I thought she could use it as a house warming gift. And the other one I gave to a cute couple in our ward whom Tim and I want to be our friends. Thier names are John and Allison Love and they are so nice. So I wrote a card that said

We then proceeded to doorbell ditch them. It was so funny. They have like 50 stairs up to there house (more like 15) and I was totally wearing my crocs. I walk up to the house and the sensor light turned on. So I was like "Crap, need to hurry, need to hurry" I ran up the steps, then they turn and I ran up the rest. I knocked really quick and tried to run back to the car but again I was wearing my crocs so I almost died. I could not stop laughing. They talked to me on sunday and I was so embarassed, first for door bell ditching them ( I swear I am not in Jr. High anymore). Then for almost dying on there driveway. I guarantee they saw me. They were really nice though and I hope they call us. If you made it all the way to the bottom of this post I am really proud of you for not falling asleep. I will post some pictures of the flower arrangements I made later.
