1 YEAR

So this weekend was our one year anniversary. I can't believe that it has been a year. It goes by so fast. With all the wedding that are coming up it makes me miss my wedding. I wish that I could relive that day all over again. I loved my wedding. And I love my husband. Here are a few pictures from that day!

THIS YEAR

Tim surprised me with a weekend to The Grand America Hotel. It was so fun! We stayed there for our first night after we were married. Tim got the same room that we stayed in last year so it was very romantic! There were roses waiting for us in the room and a plate of chocolates. 

We got to the hotel on saturday at around 4:30 and took a nap. We were exhausted from earlier that day. We woke up and went to PF Changs. It was so good and filling. We then went and saw "What Happens In Vegas" It was actually a lot better than I thought it would be. I thought it was going to be kinda scandalous and vulgar, really though, it was so good. I laughed so hard. 

We went back to the hotel and the room has really large bath tubs so needless to say we took advantage of that fact. We woke up the next day and went to Brunch. It was so yummy. It was a great weekend and I love my husband so much. He is so good to me and makes me so happy. Bestest friend in the whole wide world. WUV YOU TOOTIE! 

 

 

David Archuleta

Ok my big day with David Archuleta! I found out yesterday that David was going to be on the radio at 97.1 ZHT and I had won tickets from them in the past, so I knew where the studio is. I had this crazy idea to go to the studio in the morning and see if I could spot David. So I called my sister paula last night and we thought it would be fun. I woke up this morning at 6:30 and we left for the studio about 7:00. There were no other fans there so we waited for about hour and a half. Finally a few other cars showed up with fans. Finally at about 8:40 he pulled in, in his huge stretch limo truck. We chased the limo around the building to the back. There were lots of camera people and news crews. One lady told us to act excited because she was the filmer for American Idol. I got his autograph as he was walking in the building and my sister paula got him to sign her phantom of the opera song book. I had brought my sisters friend Carly and she did not get an autograph at first so we waited for him to come out of the studio. While we were waiting I was interviewed by the SL tribune.  Wherever he went this morning, David Archuleta was far and away the most popular teen in Utah. 
    From a television station near the Salt Lake City International Airport to The Gateway mall downtown, Archuleta's screaming fans were in full force, cheering on the 17-year-old to become the next "American Idol." 
    Thousands chanted his name at the AT&T store at the outdoor mall, and some screaming girls even cried as he walked up the steps to sign autographs. For a brief time Friday morning, Salt Lake City had its very own version of "Beatlemania." 
    "I'm obsessed," said 21-year-old fan, Nikki Haslam, who was waiting outside the back

    The Murray High School junior is in town for a homecoming rally Friday that will be filmed by "Idol" producers for Tuesday's episode. He is one of three finalists on this season's show, along with Missouri's David Cook and Florida's Syesha Mercado. 
    First stop this morning was the studio of local Fox affiliate KSTU Channel 13, where he greeted his first fans of the day - some hundred or so - and sang a version of Dolly Parton's "Smokey Mountain Memories." "It's amazing to be here," he told the Fox morning anchors. "I never

thought I would make it this far." 
    Then it was scheduled appearances on three stations, including KZHT and KEGA 101.5 FM. But when David's limousine driver got lost on the way to the first radio station (David was traveling in a long black stretch limo with a truck bed attached to the back), he had to cancel an appearance on country station KBULL 93 FM. 
    Finally, the teen appeared at The Gateway, where at least an estimated 2,000 fans waited in a line that wound down the second floor sidewalk of the shopping center, all hoping to catch a glimpse and chanting his name. 
    Janet Wayman, 14, Riverton, who has been waiting since 9 a.m., carried a sign that read: "Marry me (in four years)." 
    "He's cute, and he sings nice," she said. "I have newspaper pictures of him hanging on my wall." Around 10:40 a.m., David arrived in the limo as gray clouds hung overhead, popping his head through the sunroof, waving to the crowd. Thousands of fans screamed in approval. 
    "This is crazy," said one AT&T spokesperson at the event. AT&T Utah director of sales Marty Clark said the company held similar appearances in Missouri and Florida for Cook and Mercado and said those events "didn't come close" to the number of people who showed up for David. 
    After the autograph signing, David was whisked to his hotel - he is not staying at his Murray home for security reasons - for a few hours of downtime before the big event at 3 p.m. at his high school. He is scheduled to sing two songs at the school and will be given a gift basket by Murray City Mayor Dan Snarr. 
    The singer also is scheduled to perform the national anthem at the EnergySolutions Arena for Game 3 of the Utah Jazz-Los Angeles Lakers playoffs. That performance will not be televised.

9:15 a.m.: Outside KZHT, there are a few crazed fans waiting for David to step out of the building.

One of them is Nikki Haslam, a 21-year-old from Salt Lake City.

"I'm obsessed. I love watching him," she said with so much enthusiasm she was about to burst. "And these are my sisters. I pulled them out of school to come here."

Haslam and others - there's only about a dozen outside the radio station - have been waiting there since 7 a.m.

"You feel connected when he sings, and he's from Utah, so how can you not love him?" she said.

David walks out the black door, and the small crowd gives out a screeching yell.

He stops to sign autographs. Nikki is oh so happy.
